Installation is simple: just extract PCSX2 from its zip file. To make things clearer, check out the video below that shows how to 'install' a portable emulator (it shows Snes9x, but PCSX2 is the same process). It's pretty straight-forward - all that you're doing is extracting a zip file while doing a little bit of folder management. If you want to 'uninstall' a portable emulator, simply delete it!

These ISO formats are exclusive to specific burning software. Google around to find what program is associated with that format. Once found, install it and burn the game to a DVD. However, if you want my opinion, I say just forget about it. You should try to download the game from somewhere else to get it in ISO or BIN format. Working with these proprietary ISO formats is too much trouble.

Perhaps you prefer using your own PlayStation 2 games instead of downloading them from the Internet? Or maybe you just want to keep backup copies of your PlayStation 2 games? Whatever the case, here's how you can dump your games:

Are you using an older version of PCSX2? Or did you download PCSX2 from its official homepage? (Note that the official homepage hasn't been updated in years.) The issue could be as simple as you just need to download the latest version. You can find it on this 'automated builds' page.

So what is EmuDeck? EmuDeck is a tool (more precisely, a script) that you can download/install which greatly simplifies the installation of 160 emulators and supporting utilities to your Steam Deck. It also pre-configures all the controls, aspect ratio settings, etc. so really there is very little configuration required on your part to get up and running. That said, many will prefer to have step-by-step instructions, additional tips, assistance with a few stubborn features and commentary.

The Steam ROM Manager is a tool that is installed by the main EmuDeck installer. During installation, an icon is created on the desktop, which allows you to easily Generate a list of games that then becomes available in the Steam Collections tab. It is also used for downloading and managing the artwork associated with each game. Below are the steps on how to use the Steam ROM Manager to perform these actions:

The legacy memory cards folder is only used if Mcd001.ps2 and/or Mcd002.ps2 is detected in retroarch/system/pcsx2/memcards/ and the "Memory Card: Slot N" core option is set to "Legacy".This can be useful if you were using an older version of the core that didn't use the saves folder yet, or if you transferred the memcards folder directly from standalone.

PSX Bios File is Playstation PS1 Bios or SCPH1001.bin file which you can install on your PC or other devices and play PSX Roms and Games. SCPH1001.bin or epsxe bios is a BIOS file and a mandatory component with one goal to make the emulator work.

SCPH1001.bin file is the file of the PSX emulator to run PSX games on a PC. you can download and install PSX games and run them with SCPH1001.bin without any lag or problem. If you are an old PlayStation fan and you like to experience the nostalgic games of this console again, you can easily play these games by installing PSX Bios or SCPH1001.bin.

We do not condone piracy of any kind. Asking for, providing or discussing illegal download links is not allowed in our communities.Purchasing legitimate game copies, through the PlayStation Store or through acquiring game discs, and using those copies with RPCS3 is the best way to ensure you will have a clean copy that will work with the emulator. You can use your legal copies with RPCS3 by following the instructions in our Quickstart guide.

Due to legal reasons, we cannot distribute official PlayStation 3 firmware files. You must download the latest PlayStation 3 firmware update file from PlayStation.com for use with RPCS3. Once downloaded, you must install the firmware using RPCS3's built in firmware installer found under File > Install Firmware.By default, firmware modules are loaded automatically based on the PlayStation 3 title that is loaded. You can still override automatic module loading and choose which firmware modules you want to use manually. Manually overriding firmware modules is not recommended.

Both Blu-ray and PlayStation Network titles (PSN) must be placed into a single folder with their respective files and the folder name must correspond to the title's ID. If you are not sure what your dumped title's region ID is, you can find your region ID on the bottom side-edge of your game case. If you are no longer in possession of your title's game case or your title is only accessible through PSN, you can do an internet search for "Your game name here + region ID". Please note that it is very important that you use the correct region ID.

Title updates are handled the same as PSN .pkg files. The. pkg update file must be installed using RPCS3's built-in package installer found under File > Install Packages/Raps/EdatsThe update will be placed in the title folder that corresponds to the correct region ID. Please note that title updates must be the same region in order to work. Cross-mixing title regions may create irreversible damage to the title.

We recommend that you dump your own PlayStation 3 titles from your own console. This is the most compatible way to migrate your disc-based titles and the only way to dump digital titles to your PC. To do this, you will need a PlayStation 3 system with custom firmware. For dumping disc-based games, you need to use multiMAN homebrew software in order to dump your disc files. You can transfer those files over to a computer through an external drive or using a FTP connection between your PlayStation 3 and your computer.Note: The PlayStation 3 has a maximum file size of 4GB. When dumping games which contain files bigger than 4GB, multiMAN will split those files. When you have your dump over on your computer, you must rejoin the split files back together with part merging software such as ps3merge, otherwise the dump will not work. For dumping digital games, you must copy the game folder from dev_hdd0/game/GameID on your console over to the same path on your RPCS3 folder. You also need to get your console's IDPS, the game's RIF and ACT.DAT, in order to generate a .RAP license file to be used in the emulator. It is also possible to dump digital content and licenses on any PS3 even without custom firmware, by the way of creating a system backup, and then extracting it with ps3xport software.

Do note that this method requires an .ird file that matches your title ID to be available on ps3.aldostools.org/ird. (LibRay will automatically attempt to download the correct .ird file, if it exists, so you do not need to do so manually.) If a matching .ird file is not present, please try the PS3 Disc Dumper mentioned below.

Use ps3.aldostools.org/ird to download the appropriate .ird file that matches your title ID. If there isn't an .ird file that matches your title ID, you cannot use this method to dump your selected PlayStation 3 disc at this time and will need to use your PS3.

Optionally, validate that you have successfully obtained the correct copy of your game. You will need to install PS3 ISO Rebuilder tool from archive.org/download/ps3-iso-rebuilder-1.0.4.1Load your .dec.iso file and your .ird file in the program and let it verify the dump. All of your files must be either Valid or Not required.

In 3K3Y ISO Tools, use the Tools drop-down menu to select ISO > Extract ISO and then select the decrypted .iso file to extract its files.Another option is to use 7-zip or any other software that is capable of extracting .iso images and extract to a folder.

Important: If this is your first EmuVR installation, do not copy anything from any previous Retroarch installation in your computer. Extract RetroArch.7z to an empty "C:\EmuVR\Retroarch" folder.

If this is your first install, or if you're updating EmuVR, click the [Update Core Data *] button. If you ever see this button with an asterisk, you'll need to click it. This will update your core information, needed to scan your games and to download your selected cores.

Sometimes a folder name might not be recognized. If you notice a folder was not added by Autofill, or if the detected system was not assigned correctly, read below to know how to manually add folders or assign their systems.

(If you want to update an already downloaded core to its latest version later, you can do so by clicking the [Update Core] button on its Core Options window. Notice this is not the [Update Core Data] button.)

Changing a core option will affect all games under that folder, so you might want to separate your special games into another folder, e.g.: a "PS1" folder with default options, and a "PS1 (Light Gun)" folder with light gun input enabled for all games inside this folder. Your games from both folders will seamlessly show up together in the same "PlayStation" category in your inventory menu, and when inserted into any PlayStation console they'll work accordingly (with or without light gun support enabled). Another example: an "SNES" folder and a "SNES (Mouse)" folder.

EmulationStation is a frontend that will provide you with a self-contained user interface to browse and launch your favorite retro games. The version found on the Steam Deck is known as EmulationStation-DE (Desktop Edition, shortened to ES-DE). It can be installed independently by downloading the latest AppImage and installing it on your Steam Deck, or it comes bundled within the EmuDeck or RetroDeck environments. ES-DE will auto-update itself, so if you remove or add ROMs to your folders, it will automatically catch those changes and it will reflect in the app the next time you boot ES-DE. 350c69d7ab
