What Research Is Exploring

Peppermint oil has been studied extensively in digestive research. A 2022 systematic review and meta-analysis of 10 randomized controlled trials involving 1,030 people with irritable bowel syndrome found better outcomes with peppermint oil than placebo for global symptoms and abdominal pain, but the authors rated the quality of evidence very low and called for larger, rigorous trials. Importantly, these studies evaluated specific peppermint-oil preparations and do not establish that this multi-oil DigestZen product will produce the same effects. Research is continuing.
