What Research Is Exploring
Jasmine aromatherapy is being studied directly in human clinical research. A 2024 randomized, single-blind, placebo-controlled trial included 56 children ages 7–12 undergoing restorative dental treatment. After a 15-minute jasmine aromatherapy intervention, the researchers reported lower measured anxiety and pain-perception scores in the jasmine group than in the placebo group, while heart rate and oxygen saturation did not differ significantly. This was a small study in children during a specific dental procedure and does not establish that this product treats anxiety or pain in everyday use. More research is needed on jasmine preparations, dose, route of use, and different populations.
