What Research Is Exploring
Chamomile aromatherapy continues to be investigated in clinical research. A 2025 systematic review and meta-analysis of 17 randomized studies involving 1,490 women undergoing cesarean section found that aromatherapy overall was associated with improvements in several measures of postoperative discomfort; subgroup analysis in that review identified chamomile oil among the approaches studied. This research involved specific clinical protocols and populations and should not be interpreted as proof that this Roman Chamomile bottle will produce those outcomes. We are still learning about its effects and the best ways to study essential oils in clinical settings.
