What Research Is Exploring
Siberian Fir has appeared directly in human essential-oil research, but the findings are not uniformly positive. One study evaluated essential-oil vapor inhalation in 849 women ages 55–89 with hypertension and reported that Siberian Fir did not show an antihypertensive effect under the study conditions. A separate 2024 controlled dental-practice study of 486 patients included Siberian Fir as one ingredient in a multi-oil Forest Walk aroma; because several oils were combined, that study cannot tell us what Siberian Fir contributed individually. There is also randomized human research on dietary supplements containing Siberian Fir terpenes, but those capsules included additional ingredients and are not equivalent to inhaling or topically using this essential oil. Together, these studies show active research around Siberian Fir and its constituents, while also demonstrating why route and formulation matter. They do not establish that this retail oil treats hypertension, anxiety, cardiovascular conditions, or another medical condition.
