What Research Is Exploring
Tea Tree oil continues to be studied for topical skin applications. A recent systematic review and meta-analysis included seven clinical studies with 445 patients and found a modest reduction in acne severity associated with Tea Tree oil, while emphasizing the need for larger, standardized, long-term trials. The studies used specific Tea Tree preparations, so their results should not be assumed to apply directly to this essential-oil bottle or every topical use. We are still learning about its effects.
